My Story

My love of beauty began as a young girl, mesmerised by the vivid ocean-blue and bright pink eyeshadows proudly displayed on the makeup stand in my father’s pharmacy. I loved watching the glamorous women who bought them and imagining the exciting lives they led.

Even then, I knew the beauty industry was where I belonged.

After completing my Leaving Certificate, I studied at Loriam Beauty Therapy College on Dawson Street in Dublin. I qualified with diplomas in ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO—the internationally recognised highest standard in beauty and spa therapy.

I began my professional career in a busy Letterkenny salon, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience before taking the exciting step of opening my own beauty salon in Ballybofey. As a Thalgo salon, the business went from strength to strength, supported by a wonderfully loyal local clientele.

Later, after becoming a mother to my beautiful daughter, Susanna, I moved into teaching Level 6 Beauty Therapy. I completed a pre-teaching qualification at NUI Galway and had the privilege of helping many talented students develop into confident, highly skilled beauty therapists.

Teaching was an incredibly rewarding chapter of my career. I was especially proud when my students achieved some of the highest ITEC results in Ireland.

Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about learning and professional development. I have trained extensively across a wide variety of skincare ranges and treatments and also qualified as a business and life coach. This experience strengthened my teaching, communication and mentoring skills and continues to influence the personal, supportive approach I bring to every client.

Eventually, my love of hands-on beauty therapy called me back to the salon. I returned to doing what I love most and have since relocated my business to Stranorlar.

From advanced skincare and beauty treatments to simply helping someone feel more confident in themselves, I still have the same passion for my work that first began at my father’s pharmacy counter all those years ago.

I have never looked back.
